Hello I am Ed Tajchman, a painter currently living just outside Kansas City in Lawrence, KS. I have been creating art most of my life, mostly paintings and drawings. I really fell in love with painting when I started highschool. It was a time when I felt I didn’t do anything well, and then realized I was an artist! To quote Jack Kerouac, “To know that nothing matters after all, to know it young and be a poet.” It was a great feeling, (and still is.)
I try to stay away from labels, but you could say my work is Neo-Expressionist, Abstract Expressionist, and definitely individualistic. For me, creating a painting is a very holistic, spiritual, and connecting experience. I can look at paintings I have done in the past and really ’see’ the energy from my soul coming through, and when other people really enjoy my art?
